Compost can supply much needed organic matter in each application. Such large deposits feed the worms and micro organisms in the soil, building soil structures that improve water holding capacity and aeration.
The soil then becomes friable and easier to cultivate, reducing fuel consumption and the number of cultivation processes to save you time and money. This process eventually leads to reduced soil bulk density, less compaction and improved water infiltration.
Although not yet fully quantified, the use of compost in arable farming may potentially also be an effective way to sequester carbon, storing it in the soil instead of releasing it into the air. As a sustainable practice, it could help offset the carbon footprint of one of the largest sources of greenhouse gases in the world.
We provide two ranges of premium compost and one range of multi-purpose topsoil:
• For commercial deliveries, we can transport our large loose loads in eight-wheel (12-16 tonne) and articulated vehicles (25 tonnes).
